MOSCOW, September 9 – RIA Novosti. The General Meeting of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) calls on the State Duma to take the “academic” amendments to the bill on the reform of the State Academy and return the document to the second reading.
A decree
meeting was made on Monday by most votes in voting against and 13 abstentions.
The document emphasizes that the general meeting of the Academy of Sciences said principal preservation jurisdiction of RAS institutes, as well as the structural integrity of the legal independence of academies regional offices.
General Meeting also approved the Presidium of the Academy prepared amendments to the bill on the reform and appealed to the State Duma with a request to accept them.
The resolution states, inter alia, that the elimination of offices and regional research centers provided the bill, “will lead to the destruction of the system of coordination of research and higher education in the subjects of the Russian Federation, to destroy the economic and cultural development of the region and the whole of Russia”.
