Iran will launch a monkey into space instead of a Persian cat - Russian Newspaper

Iran plans to launch into space a second monkey, “astronaut”.

Told the Iranian Press TV channel with reference to the deputy head of the Iranian Space Agency Hamid Fazeli. According to the official, the preparation for sending the animal into space has been completed. The launch of the next “life capsule” to be held at the end of next month.

Recall January 28, 2013 Iran made the launch of the “life capsule” with a monkey named Pisgah on board. After rising to a height of more than 120 km, the animal safely returned to Earth.

Iran carries out launches of animals as part of the preparation to send into orbit the first Iranian astronaut. It can be implemented in the next 5-8 years.

earlier reported that Iran planned to launch into space Persian cat. Until now, send a cat into orbit was solved only France. This happened back in 1963.
