Dmitry Rogozin sees the source of energy in space exploration Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said that Russia could extract greater efficiency of space exploration, he said at a meeting of the Expert Council of the Military-Industrial Commission of Tuesday, December 17.

Rogozin said that Russia is one of the few countries that has a closed loop design, manufacture, launch, mission control and the intended use of spacecraft. According to him, as reported by RIA Novosti, this potential allows us to pose the most ambitious goals.

Rogozin stressed that at the moment one of the most important tasks is to determine how the space program can be useful for the country. In this case, it may be very high scientific and technical component, which will emphasize the prestige of the country as a space superpower.

Among other important tasks Deputy Prime Minister called the fight against the asteroid danger, creating a permanent lunar station, creating interplanetary tugs. While Rogozin stressed that no less important and at the moment the most pressing tasks are tasks associated with pragmatic economic issues: the creation of the satellite constellation for Earth remote sensing, to address the issues of navigation, communication, cartography.
