President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to change the funding mechanisms of science to the document published on Wednesday site of the Kremlin.
According to orders
Putin, the main source of funds for fundamental and exploratory research should be grants. Use of budgetary funds for these purposes should be discontinued.
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, who must submit a report on the matter until June 1, was made responsible for the implementation of this order of Putin.
In addition, Putin ordered during the year to ensure the safety of the property and the staff of the Russian state academies of sciences undergoing reform – RAS, RAMS and RAAS.
