Federal Space Agency intends to create a spacecraft that will be engaged in cleaning the geostationary orbit from the boosters and the failed satellite.
It is reported that such a “cleaner” will leave the agency of 10.8 billion rubles. The device will be called the “liquidators” and there will be about 2025. Experts believe that the device will remove one piece of debris about 6 months, and the total duration of his “life” – 10 years.
It should be emphasized that the establishment of such a system is very complex. Who will start the development is still unknown. Among the contenders for the executor of the project – producers who have sufficient experience in the development and operation of vehicles in the geostationary orbit.
