Russian scientists “taught” to turn aluminum to steel – Pronedra

Scientists National Research Technological University MISA managed to make aluminum steel properties using nanotechnology.

The researchers were able to develop a composite material for the aluminum, but it is much lighter than steel and stronger than aluminum. To carry out such scientists succeeded in using nanotubes and nanospheres nitride.

Developments in this field are scientists from around the world, but to achieve noticeable progress has so far been only our compatriots from MISA and Japanese researchers in Tsukuba.

The Russian scientists are going to continue working for what they need substantial funding. Steel giant “Rusal” and “Skolkovo” foundation already interested in, to bring the technology to the level of an industrial scale.
