Developed in the “Skolkovo” tablets from swine flu and can help to Ebola – BBC

The developers of the antiviral drug “Triazavirin” designed to combat swine flu, claim that the drug may be effective for the treatment of Ebola. This was reported by RIA “Novosti» with reference to the head of the group of developers Oleg Chupakhina.

Research and development “Triazavirin” conducted within the project “Skolkovo” Ural Center biopharmaceutical technologies. As the director of the center Pavel Sorokin, delivery of the drug in the pharmacy is expected in winter 2014.

According to the pharmacists, the drug is effective against about 15 different influenza infections, including the swine and avian influenza, as well as against tick-borne encephalitis . Not excluded efficiency “Triazavirin” to treat Ebola, against which there is not drugs.

The original appearance of “Triazavirin” in pharmacies was announced in 2010. Then the director of the Influenza Research Institute Oleg Kiselyov indicate an expected price of a product – from 100 to 250 rubles.
