Peak deliveries of Russian equipment for ITER will begin in 2016 – NIA-Kuzbass

The peak deliveries of Russian equipment for the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor ITER begins with the end of 2016, the director of the Russian agency ITER Anatoly Krasilnikov.
According to him, next year will be 80% of the works on the production of gyrotron – the main part heating systems plasma in a fusion reactor.
«The enterprise company Rosatom TVEL, Chepetsk Mechanical Plant, this year completed work on the production of superconducting strands for all the elements that the Russian Federation provides the ITER project” – quoted by RIA Novosti Krasil’nikova.
Recall, the international thermonuclear experimental reactor built at the research center Cadarache in sout hern France, together with the European Union, Russia, China, India, Japan, South Korea and the United States. It is planned to try to use to generate electricity thermonuclear reaction.
