This structure will form on the basis of the Scientific Center for Earth Operative Monitoring.

(Kazan, June 19, “Tatar-inform”). Roscosmos plans to create a single point of service delivery of remote sensing (RS), the disposal of which will go all the Russian spacecraft involved shooting ground. Write about it “Izvestiya”, citing a source in the Russian Space Agency.

According to the publication, this structure will form on the basis of the Scientific Center for Earth Operative Monitoring (NTs OMZ), which now operates as part of “Russian Space Systems” .

«The draft Federal Space Program (FCP) for the years 2016-2025 is planned to significantly increase the part of the Russian group of remote sensing, increase the size of the satellite fleet to two dozen spacecraft. For coordinated marketing obtained using these products satellites planned to create a center that will build relationships with public and private customers, the results of remote sensing. This market is potentially commercially attractive, but to do business, we need organizational changes, which will take place this year “- said the source.

According to the Russian Federal Space Agency, the National Remote Sensing Centre will participate in the formation of the state order for the creation of new remote sensing spacecraft.

Now the Russian satellite constellation of remote sensing capabilities are not impressive: in orbit two satellites “Resurs-P”, which taking pictures with a resolution of up to 1 m, “Resource-DK1″ with similar characteristics, “Canopus -The “resolution images of 2 m and three working meteorological apparatus. This year we plan to launch another “Resurs-P”. Also during the final PCF 2005-2015 was funded by creating a system of remote sensing “Review-O” four remote sensing satellites. The first satellite “Browse” scheduled to launch later this year, but began to make the system Khrunichev Center project was interrupted, and now it is planned to give to the execution of another company with maturity in 2020-2022 years.

« Creating a center of remote sensing, our goal is to meet the existing demand, bearing in mind not only the Russian customers – says source in the Russian Space Agency. – To this end, it is planned to change some scheme of interaction with government customers. The idea is that they will not receive everything for free (which is not the best way affects the quality of the product), but partly paid for the work center, such as image processing. This will allow us to grow a competitive player on the global market for remote sensing. A player of this level in the global satellite communications market is a state enterprise “Space communication”, which manages the national grouping of communications satellites, providing commercial services both in Russia and in other markets, until Australia ».
