South Korea plans in 2020 to send to the moon lander – RIA Novosti

TOKYO, December 30 – RIA Novosti, Xenia Naka. South Korea plans in 2020 to send to the moon own lander, the agency Rёnhap with reference to the Ministry of Science.

In the first phase of the project in the period from 2016 to 2018 in the research will be allocated 197.8 billion won (about 169 million dollars). Only in 2016 for these purposes it will be spent 20 billion won. Orbital and ground stations will be developed using its own technology in South Korea, but the Ministry does not rule out cooperation with NASA and aerospace institutions in other countries.

In the second phase of the project is planned to start the descent capsule on the launch vehicle, which will also be the original the development of South Korean experts.
